I woke up yesterday to get my car fixed. Instead of having my father-in-law pick me up from the shop, I brought my camera and decided to explore the old stomping grounds. I've only passed through the corners of McKee and Jackson going to Independence High School to either play tennis or basketball, but walking around for 2 hours straight, you see things that you knew existed, just never saw. When people say "Never forget where you're from," I understand why. I'd rather say it as "Remember where you're from, become a better person from it, and give back." I may never come here often, but it's still a part of me.
